So? The idea is to *spread* that traffic. Currently, we are *extremely* 
centralized and very reliant on a small set of nodes..

You'd get started much faster with fifty nodes that weren't always flooded 
than with 50 centralized nodes that are flooded.
As for flooding? Why not simply add a little flag or something that if the 
person had it set, they wouldn't download or upload
node refs to/from others.
