Hi,

I've tried to read all the posts about this subject and come up with
some original alternatives which may/may not help. They're only suggestions,
please don't rip me apart over them :(

1) Link only to Index Indexes within Freenet. I'd be happy to maintain
an Index Index, I mean, FFS, it's like 4-5 links :) That means that freenet
is linking to a freesite that contains nothing illegal, only links to
indexes which may go on to link to something illegal. It's an extra layer
yes, but it applies to everything - not just the illegal stuff - making
it fair.

2) Require any index placed on the gateway page to have an Entry page
where the author describes the current content of the index. If the user
reads "This index may contain links to illegal material" then they can
return to the gateway and try another. Again, it just helps reduce any
risk of freenetproject developers being accountable, and also prevents
users from seeing content they dont want.
