I'd like to participate in development. I know a little Java, and have used C and Unix for many years. My account at sourceforge is ejhuff. I remember seeing instructions on how to sign up on the web site, but they don't seem to be there now.
My new gpg key is now on most keyservers, search for ejhuff or for the keyID. (I never made one before because I can't guarantee that no one has hacked by system and stolen the private key. To know that, I'd need a separate secure system...) I looked in my browser cache, but I don't see any old freenet pages. find ~/.mozilla/ -type f -print0 | xargs -0 grep -l Freenet | grep Cache | xargs cat Anyway, please let me know what I have to do to join. I've downloaded j2sdk-1_4_1_02-linux-i586-rpm.bin from Sun, and plan to look into compiling the latest build. I'm not running a node right now, because the compute load was too much for my old 300MHz firewall machine, and I have to upgrade from IPChains to IPTables in order to do port forwarding to my 2GHz P4 machine. I'm running RedHat 7.3 with all errata, and am thinking of upgrading to RedHat 9. I download disk 1 from freenet, but could never get disk 2. I got it from RedHat and tried to upload it but that never worked (yet). I've been following this copyright dispute for some time, and have concluded that nothing good will happen if we leave it to the legislature. They need television ads to get re-elected, and individuals don't have enough money to make legislators unafraid of offending Hollywood. -- Ed Huff -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
