One final word to this: I don't wanted to start a flamewar, I wanted to point out that one could concentrate on a system that works well on all platforms.
This is not true for git. But ok, go on and do it at least for the Linux users... Btw: I gave two reasons for my recommendation of mercurial, but David just ignored them. For me his reply was not the best, but annoying.
