Maybe you change your default fontsize in your browser settings?
I use the FF2 too and it looks good with the "width: 9.5em;" setting for the
menu.
To get sure that all use the default fontsize of 1.0em, this need to be
declared in the body tag.

padding: 10px 10px;
font-size:1.0em;
}
