Hi,
Tonight we discussed a bit about what the future messaging system of
freenet should be. We obviously didn't reach any kind of agreement but
nevertheless agreed on meeting again tomorrow.
Everyone is welcome to attend our IRC meeting scheduled at [1] 21:00PM GMT
on #freenet. Sorry for the short notice but we need to get things
rolling. Depending on how many we are and how things are going we will
decide whether we will moderate the meeting or not.
I would really appreciate if everyone involved could join. So far we
have p0s,saces,bombe and myself who confirmed attendance. To do it
properly, we would need toad, batosai and bback to join us. Somedude
is also welcome (if he wants to use Tor/whatever to connect to IRC
that's fine by me).
Provisional schedule:
1) What future do we want for FMSPlugin (a FMS clone in java
written by saces) / Freetalk
2) Bombe has raised the question of (D)SCMs once again; Tomorrow
we will vote and decide which one we will use for the new messaging
system. Each contributor has a voice. If you can't attend tomorrow, let
me know before the meeting and we will take your vote into consideration
too.
3) current design issues
4) decide whether we want the meeting to become a regular one or
not (could have a weekly meeting for instance)
I am looking forward to read from all of you on IRC tomorrow.
