Thanks Kathy--none of these designs is going to be perfect, but you're right that the closer we can get the less work we'll have to do. The good thing about all of these designs is that they're very simple and so it's easy to add things as needed. I didn't see any of these as being used as-is, in other words; we'll be changing things from the color scheme down to the addition/removal of various items from the design.
If everyone could take a look at the ones Kathy singled out to make sure we make the best decision we can for our default skin that would be great. I don't see adding the navigation Kathy describes to the Channel Nine design as a big deal but if one of these others gets us closer and is equally or more acceptable from an aesthetic standpoint, I'm fine with that.
