First of all I hope this is the correct mailing list to ask about CDK
installation.

I'm following the instructions here [1] to install the CDK on my Fed23
machine. However, I'm getting to a specific point and not really sure
what is wrong and hoping someone can help me.

When I attempt to install the plugins as per the installation guide I
get the following error:

[mmusaji@dhcp-1-88 plugins]$ vagrant plugin install
vagrant-registration-1.2.1.gem
Installing the 'vagrant-registration-1.2.1.gem' plugin. This can take
a few minutes...
Bundler, the underlying system Vagrant uses to install plugins,
reported an error. The error is shown below. These errors are usually
caused by misconfigured plugin installations or transient network
issues. The error from Bundler is:

An error occurred while installing vagrant (1.8.1), and Bundler cannot
continue.
Make sure that `gem install vagrant -v '1.8.1'` succeeds before bundling.

NoMethodError: undefined method `spec' for nil:NilClass

When I run gem install vagrant -v '1.8.1'

[mmusaji@dhcp-1-88 plugins]$ gem install vagrant -v '1.8.1'
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'vagrant' (= 1.8.1) in any repository
ERROR: Possible alternatives: vagrant

However, I do have vagrant 1.8.1. installed.

[mmusaji@dhcp-1-88 plugins]$ vagrant --version
Vagrant 1.8.1
[mmusaji@dhcp-1-88 plugins]$ bundler --version
Bundler version 1.12.0

Am I missing an obvious step in the installation or is this an
installation issue?

Thanks
Mus

I am running Vagrant 1.8.1 on Fedora 23 without any issue. Are you able to install another Vagrant plugin? Or the issue is only with vagrant-registration plugin.
