Thanks for your help so far. I seem to be doing quite fine with the installation. Could you please enlighten me about migration from dhis1.4 to 2.0..What document do I need to go through? It is possible to check out the latest source code and build a new dhis.war file, which you can then use to replace the one that comes with the DHIS Live download.
