I'm including a patch with 6 new buttons for the toolbar. I don't know
about others, but I find alignment very useful to handle several objects
in a diagram. It's still missing the align function to distribute the
selected objects at equal distance.
The patch doesn't include code to insert the buttons in the toolbar. It
just changes pixmaps.h and tool.h. I modified my local version of
interface.c to do that, but I have a couple of problems: the button should
not remain pushed once you click on it, for the kind of function that does
alignment. Or maybe once you push the button you can make the same
alignment in any number of diagrams by clicking on them.
The other problem is that I don't know where to put the buttons, either
after the scroll button, after the standard object buttons or in a
separated section. So I decided that I was not the one to take that
decision but you. :)
BTW don't you find a bit weird that the first name of two of the guys
currently interested in Dia form your own name? Me (Alejandro is Alexander
in Spanish) and Lars? Maybe I get fool at midnight, after a very active
weekend, but I found it funny. :)
