Hi,
I'm new to this list so I may not be up to date with my
propositions. Do you have any mailing list archive I could
browse ?
First of all I'm very glad to find a free package which
can produce diagrams such as for UML documentation. I'm
in the process of learning UML to be able to document
design aspects of my programming projects (OffiX, Berlin).
I worked quite a lot with a postscript editor I very much like.
It is the IPE (http://www.cs.ust.hk/~otfried/Ipe/) which
could be a goud source of inspiration for you. A couple of
ideas you may adopt from it are:
more extensive algorithms for snapping (you only seem to
support snap to grid, but snap to objects (edges, vertices etc.)
would be *very* useful too)
structuring (grouping, ungrouping) seems not (yet) available
though it appears in the menu. This is important for transforming
(translating, aligning, scaling and rotating) sets of objects.
Anyway, I very much enjoy this tool !
