Dear Sir:

I think Dia is a great program and I prefer it to Visio. One of the
things that I do with Dia is draw timing diagrams (e.g., PCI event
timing, etc.). I noticed that you have tabs for various features such
as circuits, networks, UML (which I use also). Could you include a new
tab for timing diagrams. You could have a button for a time line. The
properties of the time line would include the name of the line, and an
array of when the line is switched from off-to-on or on-to-off. For
example:

Reference Timeline:

Start Time: 0.0
End Time: 10.0
Interval: 0.2 (Used to define the timing grid)

Object #1

Name: CLOCK
Start State: Off
Events: 0.2 (i.e., toggle from Off to On (0 to 1))
1.4 (i.e., toggle from On to Off (1 to 0))
                2.8
                4.2

Object #2

Name: Fetch
Start State: Off
Events: 0.4
                1.6
                3.0
                4.4

...

This would make it very easy to create professional timing diagrams.

Please consider adding this feature to Dia. If you have any questions,
