I have been doing a bit of work on the printing code in dia. I have
implemented a real fit to page mode (where it adjusts the scaling factor
as you work on the diagram).

The next dia will allow you to either choose a scaling factor, or tell dia
to fit the diagram to m by n pages. One other thing that has changed now
is the origin point for the page boundaries. If you just choose a scaling
factor, page boundaries will be aligned with the origin rather than the
top left corner of the bounding box. The fit to page option aligns page
boundaries to the top left corner of the bounding box as before.

Another improvement is that the page breaks are now visible on the
diagram. If you want to try it out, grab the latest version out of CVS.
This feature is not currently configurable (ie. you can't turn it off, or
change the page break colour). This should be a great help for people
doing multi page diagrams, you can make sure you don't have a shape spread
over a page break.
