We seem to be running into a clash of include file names. There is both
app/properties.h and lib/properties.h, and if I try to include both, I
won't get the second one, because both check on PROPERTIES_H being
defined. Should we start calling them LIB_PROPERTIES_H and
APP_PROPERTIES_H, or try to keep the the nameclashes down?
