For most of the RPM based linux distributions, HelixCode has RPMs
available (they included dia-0.84, so have all its dependencies).  Check
out http://www.helixcode.com/, and go to the HelixGnome page and find the
libxml RPMs for your appropriate distro.

Note also that Dia will not work with the new libxml-2.0.0 that Daniel is
working on (yet).
