is the underlying code that runs Sahana available? Is it an open source application?

I ask, as there are certain parts of the functionality that would be VERY useful to some of the work Privaterra does

regards

Robert

*What is it?*

Sahana is a collection of integrated applications which handle an
increasing amount of functionality.

    * *Organization registry*: To keep track of various organizations
      participating and what they do / can do etc.
    * *Request management system*: To allow coordination of how requests
      from camps and other places are serviced by various organizations.
    * *Camp registry*: Database of camps, including historical information.
    * *People registry*: Database of missing, IDPs, dead, orphans etc.
      (including pictures, finger prints, DNA samples) with advanced
      search capabilities
    * More function being developed.

(1) http://relief.cno.gov.lk/ shows Sahana in operation.

(2) http://www.linuxgazette.com/node/9847 gives some more detail.
Fleshing that out for a WorldChanging.com article.
