able to check the timetable for buses and the subway when
you're on the go. Or have access to a map when necessary.
Yes, I most often use my phone as a super-mobile computer for
browsing websites, checking Twitter, etc., rather than calling or
texting people. This somewhat surprised me, but now it's
invaluable.
