Here's a couple of alternatives:
* youtube-dl - command line tool, requires Python. Just run the tool
with the URL as the argument [1]
* Flash Video Downloader - plugin for Firefox. Adds a button below each
clip on youtube to download [2]
* 4K Video Downloader - standalone application for OS X. Past the URL in
the application and it will start to download [3]
If think the plugin for Firefox is easiest to use.
