Indeed...things are improving, but it is a fact that none of the
bindings for GUI libs are actively developed supporting last stable
upstream version.

There (was)is lot of talk how e.g. Haskell is beautiful language, how it
would take over etc., but can someone name few desktop apps written
in it? (I know about darcs & xmonad)

So, design of the language is one issue, and here D really excels, but
having developed ecosystem is another thing and it would be nice that D
community organize itself (more) to fill some holes instead of having
lot of individual efforts on half-bakev project.

Cleaning, as someone wrote. 'demetery' of dsource.org would be helpful
to be clear what is still alive.

Putting stuff on github with the mantra 'fork it' is not enough...
