On classicempire.com there's a version for windows written in an old version of D (old enough that it wouldn't even compile with a modern copy of DMD1). I took that code and ported it to D2 and a cross platform engine at the same time.
The source is _available_, however, not open. I can look at it and do the above, but I may not give anyone else my version.
