Hello Jose, Joe and Rick,

Thanks for all information. I'm not sure that the way to decode with a
simple threshold and simple way to determine speed can give good results...
A ham told me that it compares an external decoder with a modern decoder
(no publicity), regarding the S/N level. He told me that he needs a S/N 10
dB more with external decoder, surely not scientific, but...

As far as I know, if you use simply ways to decode CW, it will be not very
good at all. Algorithms to decode CW properly are much more complex. For
example, the way to decode CCW (where dot and dash lenghts are
predetermined) is really easy, something as decoding BPSK31, much easier
than compared to decode CW.

Surely CW will be much more interesting to decode because it is very
difficult as the mecanism with which a human decodes is not very clear, but
surely it will be preferible that never decoders be better than human ear
because it is the charm of CW to be obliged to do an effort to decode it...
