My 12 year old son accidentally broke a pin on a PC monitor cable . The cable is the type that is not detachable, it is hardwired to the inside of the monitor, my local PC repair shops says replacment cables are not sold. Does anyone here know if these PC monitor cable have a common color code system for the individual wires in the cable? I'm thinking of splicing the cable from an old monitor and attaching it to the one that has the broken connector.
