The fact that a soundcard-based Pactor implementation works poorly 
on a PC running Windows in no way justifies your claim that "a 
soundcard will not work". As I've already pointed out, the reason 
that a soundcard-based Pactor implementation on Windows would work 
poorly (for Pactor 1) or not-at-all (for Pactor 2 and 3) is because 
Windows is not a realtime operating system, not because of anything 
having to do with the use of a soundcard for A/D and D/A.

If you plan to further defend your position, please provide the 
technical specifics as to why "a soundcard will not work" in a 
Pactor implementation based on a PC running a realtime operating 
system.
