Les, thank you for your responses. I tried the circumvention of changing from RTS to CTS and vice versa on my Linux system and it did not change, the transmitter remains keyed. I will ask the station at the other end to try that on his Windows system.
We are definitely both using the 2.4 khz bandwidth because we are not allowed the 3.0 khz bandwidth where we are testing. We will keep looking for other things that may help. BTW, when we could not connect with RFSM-2400 we tried other modes (MFSK16 and MT63). Both of those modes were able to work so we did have pretty good signals to work with. Is there a way we could find out where and when you are using this mode so we could try to copy? Did I read in this forum that you are using 14.109.5? Of course we are not allowed to transmit in the ham bands but maybe we could copy some of your signals. Thanks again for the assist. This mode seems to offer very fast speed without spending a lot for a modem. I hope we can make it work well.
