RTTY is on all the time and is 100 % duty cycle all
the time. It does not mater if you are feeding the
tones into a ssb audio input or if you are shifting
the carrier of the transmitter.
At one time very long ago rtty was make break keying
but that mode has not been used in over 40 years.
Atleast not in any common usage.
