OK folks, I am officially declaring any excuse NOT to use RIS ID as invalid. Now that FLDIGI, MULTIPSK, and DM780 all have it... use it! Obviously when using PS31, RTTY, and Packet, you probably do not need it. Last night I saw several people CQing with "odd" Olivia mode configurations, no responses . My view is that it should be standard operating practice to CQ with RS-ID on when using anything but RTTY and PSK31!
