OK. But at least yours is consistently bad. That points to something other than my issue. A couple of things. First of all, I find the results to be more informative if you wait for the decoder to sync and settle down. I have noticed that MPlayer has a bit of a "startup" with it in which it drops frames, presumably to get A/V sync. Try waiting about 10 seconds before looking at the output. Second, redirect mplayer's output through a "2>&1 | tr '\r' '\n'" to get each mplayer status line on a separte line of output. Notice how you are waiting for an irq on every frame. That is what I would expect to see with a machine that enough steam to properly decode and display the stream. b. -- My other computer is your Microsoft Windows server. Brian J. Murrell
