[directfb-users] Is (x)directfb ment to replace X???

I would like to know if directfb and xdirectfb are ment to
replace xfree86 or it will become a part of it?

How it is supported by the major linux distributors and WHEN
could we see a distribution based on it?

Statistically, is there a significant difference of speed
comparing with the current X windows?
