ok i will build and test one asap.

I'd gladly post an updated patch but i guess first i should get savagefb 
working on my laptop first to test its ok !! i own an IBM T23 which 
somehow use a slightly different savage IX chip according to dok, and 
can't get it to initialize, see my previous posts and dok's answers.

Btw, i hadn't enough time to extensivly test it, but adding the chip ID 
in the savagefb.h file sadly doesn't seem to make much difference..


You have to add it to the device list, too. It's somewhere in the
sources. Simply grep for the id macros.
