Now, with the command you mentioned above, I still get stripes, but now fbset reports [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note that refresh is 74.5 instead of 50. I have _no_ such entry in /etc/fb.modes. So how comes this? Maybe I have not properly disabled VGA frame buffer?
