Hi I have used DirectFB for two years on a Via ML6000 m/board with a vesafb, but only in conjunction with the Links browser. I am now considering using DirectFB to build a desktop. I would be very grateful for some help and my questions are as follows:-
I. I have substituted the vesafb for the VT8623fb and I am using the driver in the 2.6.24 kernel. I cannot seem to get a better resolution than 800x600-60. Will the linux-viafb patch give me better performance and is there one available for this kernel version? 2. I have a static kernel and want to keep it that way. Is there a fusion patch available for this kernel version? Thanks in advance.
