I mean I have the suspicion that the source_id related APIs of the layer could be used for what I want, i.e. somehow translate source_ids into surfaces and reconfigure the hardware during VSync when the source_id, and thus the surface to be displayed, changes (it's size)/gets changed by the application. Or am I wrong and source_ids are intended for something else?
