Alright... let's reformulate this as 'X session' .. or maybe 'an active
environment on my computer screen that provides the same functionalities 
that 'X' has provided these past few years, specifically the ability to
start applications that will use said screen to display their output and
prompt me for input ...' etc. etc. etc.
