Hello all,

I want to back up VMware disk files with Dirvish. The problem is that VMware

disk files don't change size, date, or time. I just would like a sanity

check that I can put this in my master.conf to work around the issue:

rsync-option:

  -I

For those of you that I know will reply, "You should consider that the

VMware image file is locked if the VM is 'on'": I have that part handled

already with Volume Shadow Copy scripts. I also am aware that NTFS

permissions will not be retained.

Would you be kind enough to validate my assumption about the rsync-option:

-I, and does anybody see any other pitfalls that I can avoid while setting

up Dirvish to do this?

Thanks,

Toby
