Wrapping chrome is easy given that we can use CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) which is designed for this purpose. I did it in a week when I worked for AOL and added a view based on CEF to WinAmp for Mac. Why they made me use CEF instead of WebKit is still a complete mystery to me, but that was the case.
