Bill,
The registry IS supposed to transfer a domain automatically (after 5 days)
if the losing registrar does not explicitly deny the transfer.
Unfortunately, there is no good method via RRP to automate the status of
domains. Our system either thinks it points to us (in which case the
transfer goes through) or cannot gain status, in which case after 7 days
it expires stating "Timed Out..."
Requests are going through no problem - otherwise no transfer would work.
We are in the process of building a system whereby we can parse the
emailed responses from the registry to help handle:
1) Completed Transfers (and which Registrar the transfer came from)
2) Transfers away from OpenSRS (And which Registrar the transfer is going
to)
3) Denied Transfers (and which Registrar caused the denial).
#2 is, of course, our most important task and stop gap measures (getting
our system up to date currently, then keeping up) are already being worked
on.
