Various accounts and emails are sent to the domain owner as reminders and so on. If all that is ignored, or the domain owner doesn't bother to keep track of their own domain name's expiry date and email address etc, for notices. Well - they'll lose it. We all know what happens if we dont pay the phone or power bill.... Bob
