Transfers EXTEND the registration by a year, so your
customers will never LOSE time.  The only exception to
this is at the boundaries:  No domain can have an expiration
date more than 10 years in the future.  If they registered
it for 10 years, say, six months ago, then IIRC the domain
is extended to a full 10 years on transfer.

Can't seem to find this anywhere in the docs ...

If a customer has registered a domain name with another registrar, e.g.
WorldNIC, and has registered it for multiple years, would they still be
able to transfer the domain?  And would they just lose the years they
pre-paid?
