I received a call today from a client who was confused about her domain renewal. She received a mailing from Verisign which looks a lot like an invoice. It's entitled "Domain Name Expiration Notice", and includes a reply date which is 40 days following the expiry date of the domain.
We've seen this kind of thing from an organization called Internet Registry of America/Canada, but this is the first I have seen of this kind of thing from Verisign.
