Does anybody at OpenSRS care that your trouble ticketing system is sending out messages that violate RFC2822, and has been doing so for a very long time?
I'm normally doing strict format checks on headers, and while the RFC states that the Message-ID line is optional, it indicates that if it exists it should follow formatting rules which the ticketing system violates by inserting illegal characters. I've had a number of telephone and email discussions with Tucows folks on this matter, all of which end with a "we'll deal with this RSN", but the problem persists. Does anybody else filter invalid Message-ID lines? Am I alone out here in resellerland in thinking that OpenSRS should be able to follow established standards like this a little more closely? -- Paul Chvostek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Operations / Development / Abuse / Whatever vox: +1 416 598-0000 it.canada http://www.it.ca/
