No, I'm not a re-seller.  The original hosting company that registered with OpenSRS was purchased, so I'm not sure I can get the information from them.  In fact I cc'd a contact there when I emailed OpenSRS, and received no response.   I also in my email to OpenSRS gave a contact email for my current host, and prior host in case they wanted to verify who I was.  Beyond that, I"m not sure how to proceed.

if not, who is the reseller sponsoring your domain name ?
he can have OpenSRS email the password for the domain
to the admin email address for it.

the tech contact address can not update the domain settings,
the answer from your current host is wrong.
