The Tucows Operations team has been working hard with our upstream colo
provider, and with Neulevel/Neustar in order to isolate and solve the problem
with our communications to the .biz and .us registries.

Recently we made a breakthrough discovery that appears to have pointed to the
root cause of the problem. In order to provide better service while our
suppliers resolve the root cause, we have implemented a temporary solution. All
of our traffic to the above mentioned registries is now being forced through one
possible traffic path. Please note that we are still working on a permanent
solution.

While this should improve our connectivity to the registries, there is still the
chance that a major outtage along that traffic path may disable our
communications altogether. The Operations team will be closely monitoring this
connection, and will escalate as necessary with our upstream providers.

We at Tucows feel that this is an acceptable risk, considering our current (and
previous) performance with communicating with these registries.

We're hoping that the massive disconnects and timeout issues previously seen
should disappear for the most part, with the caveat that a full outtage (however
unlikely) may occur for a short period of time until we find a permanent
solution.

Let us know how your own performance is affected by this change. Your feedback
is appreciated (direct it towards your Sales Representative or Support)

Thanks
