Are you saying that it continued resolving to mp3.com's website for up to
10 days after expiration?

Correct.  I don't think anyone is saying verisign is at fault for not
notifying them of the pending expiration.  If sitefinder wasn't in the
mix, perhaps mp3.com would have gotten a clue.

The problem was "noticed and fixed" on Oct 6, over 24 hours after
sitefinder was disabled on Oct 4.
