I was not planning on visiting the helpcenter site anytime soon based on the negative feedback. However now that some issues have been addressed, I will go ahead and take a look. The purpose of the new window is to provide optimized navigation of the largest variety of end user monitors. We decided to use a combination of Javascript and popups to determine the OS, Web browser and screen resolution of the user's computer and pop-up of a new window to provide optimized display of the information. After reviewing your comments, we have decided to continue this approach. However, we recognize that unsolicited popups are not desirable for some users. Therefore, if the new window does not open, the user is given the option use an "in window" version of the HelpCenter.
