I know this has been discussed here in the past,
but I'm looking for some sane, unbiased numbers regarding browser
'compatibility' with ssl certificates / which certificates are the best to offer
customers.
According to some info I've seen, Geotrust might
not be the best price/value based on compatibility:
http://www.whichssl.com/browser_recognition_table.html (yes I know this isn't at all unbiased and some of the
numbers look to be inaccurate)
If IE 5.0 has 1-1.5% of the browser market though,
it seems a shame to miss out on these people with Geotrust. I havent
been able to get good numbers on the market share of other 'fringe' browsers
that might or might not work with Geotrust, InstantSSL, Entrust, Baltimore,
etc...
I can't seem to find a single word regarding this
rather important issue in the 'reseller resource center' either....
Thanks,
