Well,   checking the one I did save, in Sept of 2002 register.com  initiated
a transfer of a customer's domain to them without asking first, and if not
for the OpenSRS message it would have gone through.


So while it may be true that the OpenSRS message isn't authoratative, it is
NOT true that when it comes, the end user has approved it. This particular
transfer was for a domain owned by a very technical, personal friend who if
he says he never approved a transfer to register.com, didn't.
