Agreed that these glue records shouldn't exist. Glue should only be
required when a domain's NS are within the domain itself, or when there
is a loop (example.com uses ns[1-2].example.net and example.net uses
ns[1-2].example.com) -- However, I suspect that to avoid loops PIR is
adding extra glue records where it's not strictly required.
And indeed, following up on that thought- it occured to me that it would
be best just to go and delete those entries. (They were evidently
instantiated by the prior registrant, probably a year or two ago..)
There doesn't seem to be any way to remove them though; there's no
"remove" button, and simply clearing the field and hitting "modify"
gives me an error.
I'm not sure about .org, but I know for sure that with .com and .net you
can't delete an NS entry unless there are no domains associated with the NS.
