I use google sites ( sites.google.com ) for several sites, for me, our church,
some NPO's, etc. It is free (for small sites), and you can use their default
name, or do something similar like I do. I use godaddy and forward the
domain to the google site. It works nicely for me.
The base name was:
sites.google.com/site/sitename
My son uses these sites for secured development of projects with partners.
The only issue I have is you don't just ftp or scp web pages, you use their
IDE to make it work. Not bad, but my slow internet connection makes it
a little cumbersome at times.
Still, I am sold on google sites, and love it for the price!
