Hallo Rene, I meant that the user should be notified and if the user has Admin rights, then they can automatically update, if not, well, then should be prompted that they need Admin rights to do so. But if everything in one step is too much, then I'll suggest:
1st Step: Notification 2nd Step: Automatic Upgrade, downloading the whole new installable and starting it, which should first remove the old version. 3rd Step: Automatic Upgrade, with no need to remove, but only to patch the previous version And of course, for the Linux version, in my opinion it makes no sense, since usually the update is made by the system based on the repositories. At least I use .deb based Distros, which take care of the upgrades for me. Still it would be nice to be notified if there where newer available version which are not provided my my current repository. I'm not a developer, so I have no means to do it my self or even support doing it, but I'm just making suggestions here, I'm not requesting or imposing anything, so I apologize if that seemed different.
