Thanks Charles, That's exactly my point, specifically, I have to use Windows at work and would like to be notified from new versions, at home I have no problem since my Linux desktop check the repository for new updates.
Obviously if I have a stable version installed, I don't expect to be notified for RCs, but if I have an RC version installed I would expect to be notified for any new versions. Cheers!
